Thursday Wird - Yawm al-Khamis of of Shaykh Abdal Qadir Jilani

The Litany of Wird - Yawm al-Khamis-(5th day)
of Shaykh Abdal Qadir Jilani qaddas Allahu Sirrul Aziz

There is a Wird of each day of the week, it's read ideally in the morning or within the day of Thursday from Fajr to Maghrib. The Islamic day ends at Maghrib time.

Apart from the 7 day Wird of Shaykh Abdal Qadir Jilani qaddas Allahu Sirrul Aziz, there is also the Wird of each of the timings after each of the Salah, which is much longer then the Litany of Week.

So example you have Hizbul Fajr, Hizbul Dhuhr, Hizbul Asr, Hizbul Maghirb and Hizbul Isha. All the 5 Hizbs have been collected together as one big Hizb, called Hizbul Kabir Jilani.

So it's read as either at each interval of each Salah or all can be read as one and thus called Hizbul Kabir Jilani, caution its full of Suryani and this very powerful. Without proper ijaza please don't read it.

The way it's read is, either you read each of the Wird of the Salah and then the Litany of that day.

Methods of reading:
1. Part of the adaab, is to read Surah Iklas, Falaq and Nass, the first 5 ayats of Baqara and Ayatul Kuris and then read Litany of Wednesday. if you cannot then at least read Surah al-Fatiha followed by Litany of Tuesday.

2. Another Method is first reading Sunday section of Salawat al-Kubra Jilani which has been split into Seven parts followed by Reading Litany of Thursday.

3. Another Method is to read Hizbul Fajr followed by by Litany of that day.

Shaykh Ibn Arabi qaddas Allahu Sirru also has a 7 day Wird of both Morning and Evening Award to read.

The Litany of Thursday Wird Yawm al-Khamis].

In the Name of Allah, the All-Merciful, the All-Compassionate

Allah! There is no god but He, the Ever-Living, the Eternal. (2:255)
Alif Lām Mīm.

Allah! There is no god but He,

the Ever-Living, the Eternally Self-Sustaining. (3:1,2)

And faces shall be humbled before

the Ever-Living, the Eternally Self-Sustaining.

He who bears evil will have failed. (20:111)

Allah, I implore You, O Allah, O Allah.

O Allah, by that by which our master Muhammad

(Allah bless him and give him peace) implored You.

O Loving One, O Loving One, O Loving One!

O Lord of the Glorious Throne!

O Ever-Effective in doing what He wishes!

I beg You by the light of Your Countenance,

which has filled the pillars of Your Throne,

and by Your power, with which You have determined

the destiny of Your entire creation,

and by Your mercy, which has encompassed everything in knowledge.

There is no god but You. O Helper, enrich me!

O Helper, enrich me! O Helper, enrich me!

O Allah, I entreat You, O Gracious One before every gracious one,

and O Gracious One after every gracious one,

and O Gracious One, You who have dealt so graciously

with the creation of the heavens and the earth!

O my Lord, I beg You, just as You have treated me gently

in the dark recesses of the bowels, treat me gently

in Your judgment and Your decree,

and relieve me of constraint, and do not burden

with that of which I am not capable!

I for the sake of the honour of Muhammad
(Allah bless him and give him peace)

and of Abu Bakr, the Champion of Truth
(may Allah be well pleased with him).

O Gracious One, O Gracious One,

O Gracious One, treat me graciously

in the secrecy, the secrecy, the secrecy,

the secrecy, the secrecy of Your secret, secret, secret grace!

You have spoken, and Your speech is the Truth.

Allah is Ever-Gracious to His servants.

He provides for whom He will,

and He is the Strong, the Almighty.(42:19)

Allah is sufficient for us! Most Excellent is the Custodian!(3:173)

And praise be to Allah, Lord of All the Worlds.
